Holiday Body Break
And…we continue our tour through Canada’s fave bath stores with a stop at Bath & Body Works. Although still relatively new in the Great White North, chances are every person you know has a B & BW hand soap in their bathroom, after years of having to stock up when heading to the states. The brand has rapidly increased its presence in Canada in the last few years, and it seems they never stop coming up with inventive ideas for all of the seasons, including Christmas. Here are my top 5 picks from what’s new and lovely in their stores.
Be Enchanted Collection – $11 – $34.50
The latest fragrance to join the expansive Bath & Body Works collection is the cuddly, creamy ‘Be Enchanted’. With layers of iced pomegranate, sugar petals, and chilled berries underscored with classic woodsy tones like whipped vanilla and sandalwood, it reminds me a bit of sugarplums. If I knew what a sugarplum smelt like. Anyway if you’ve got a friend that loves to try the latest from the store, grab anything from a smooth body lotion to a festive shimmer mist.
Slatkin & Co Candles – $19.50 (or 2 for $25)
It’s not a stretch to say it’s pretty damn impossible to pick what scent at Bath & Body Works is most delicious. The good news is? They’re practically all perfect for the season, from nose-tickling mint chocolate through to sugar-sweet marshmallow peppermint. Great for hostess or in-law gifts.
Holiday Traditions Body Lotion Sampler – $10
Anyone familiar with Bath & Body Works holiday line-up will recognize perennial favourites Vanilla Bean Noel and Winter Candy Apple. This year they’re joined by Pink Sugarplum, a sweet blend of plum, tangerine, and vanilla musk. Try all three in this cute little gift set – awesome for Secret Santas.
Anti-Bacterial Soap Sleeve – $5
Everyone and their dog (possibly literally) knows and loves Bath & Body Works anti-bacterial hand soaps. And indeed, they have a number of limited edition seasonal scents I recommend you snap up, including Iced Gingerbread and Mistletoe Kiss. But if you’re going to go the soap route, why not throw on a decorative sleeve? It jazzes up the bottle a bit, and makes it seem a little less pedestrian as a gift-giving option. Voila!
Pocketbac Antibacterial Hand Sanitizers – $5 (for the set)
I think I’ve sung the praises of Bath & Body Works purse-friendly hand sanitizers quite a few times on here, but I will mention that all of their holiday scents are available in Pocketbac form, including fun and incredibly frugal gift sets like the ‘Holiday Treats’ collection pictured here. Use ’em as place settings at your holiday dinner so everyone walks away with something fun and festive.
