C’mon Get Happy
I’ve said it before and I shall say it again – summer is THE time of year to take care of your world-weary tootsies. After all, for a good nine months of the year, other than a few ill-advised late fall and early spring outings in flats or flip flops, our toes are tucked away in a good pair of socks and sturdy boots. So let your lower half get some serious attention for once – but only after giving them the at-home spa treatment with Lush’s new Happy Feet gift set. Let’s break it down shall we?
There are four products in the Happy Feet set, and all of them are vegan = automatic win. They’re also all specifically formulated to smooth out the grittiest parts of your epidermis, and given how much work your feet put in on a daily basis, they’re well in-need of these goodies. First up we’ve got the Volcano foot mask which both deodorizes and sloughs off dead skin, all with a tangy papaya and lemon juice infusion. You’ll also walk away with a pot of Lush’s legendary Fair Trade Foot Lotion, which comes in Pepto pink and smells like those shockingly addictive pink mints you’ll find on your great aunt’s coffee table. Of course, smell and shade aside, the lotion is well-known for its invigorating properties that seem to shock weary skin cells back into being – a must-have for any attention-grabbing pedicure.
Before you get to the moisturizing stage however, you may be nursing a sore, crusty body in general, in which case I recommend you use the two above goodies to give you a head start on below-the-ankle maintenance. The Sea Salt Scrub pictured on the left is a truly glorified pumice board with exfoliating sea salt and citrus oils. Bring it in the tub or shower and scrub away as a first step into getting your feet camera-ready, and use the Volcano product I already talked about for upkeep over a longer period of time. Ditto on the Geo Phyzz bath bomb, designed to give you an outdoorsy-spa-feel right in the comfort of your own tub. With woodsy ingredients that both uplift your soul and soothe sore muscles (from top to toes), this is a must-have if you’re about to do some serious foot maintenance.
All four of these foot-friendly items are packaged in a cute, reusable gift wrap that can be repurposed for other gifts, or used as a fun summer accessory. Just one treatment using all four products is pretty much guaranteed to take your footsies from freakish to fabulous and flip flop ready – all for just $24.95. Pretty groovy right? This is a fantastic choice for a wedding thank-you gift – if you’re a bride (or a relative is, suggest it to them), consider picking up a half-dozen for all those not-quite-bridesmaids that have helped by running little errands or volunteering their time and creativity to make your special day what it is (or was). The price point also makes it a great birthday gift, houseguest present, or even an end-of-year thank-you to a particularly special teacher in your child’s life.
