What It Is: I first heard about the new Archie’s Girls collection for M.A.C. last fall, and was instantly enthralled. As someone that grew up fervently flipping through the latest Archie comic (and being as torn as Archie as to whether I sided with Betty or Veronica), I was psyched to see these pop culture icons getting their 21st century dues. Unlike their favourite red-headed teenager, the girls’ collection features two of everything, inspired by Betty’s fresh-faced girl-next-door persona (think, pretty pastels and shimmers) and Veronica’s rich bitch glamazon style (as in, va-va-voom shades of plum and red). With retro-inspired sweetheart packaging, this collection should TOP your list of Valentine’s wishes – or birthday, since it’ll be in stores till the end of April (unless of course, it’s all snapped up by adoring fan girls like myself). Oh, and did I mention the crazy cute line of matching accessories?
Who It’s For: Your mom that introduced you to Archie comics, as a fun birthday throwback. Your daughter, along with a Betty & Veronica comic, to introduce her to the world’s most-documented teen drama saga. Your wife, as a Valentine’s gift she’ll adore you for.
What It Costs: The collection caps out with their Shadow Palettes ($52) and starts on the lower end with their Pearlglide Intense Liners ($20).
Where It’s At: M.A.C. boutiques and The Bay stores nationwide, also online!
Oh Love Is Art fans…earn yourself a bonus entry by visiting M.A.C. (the link’s above) and telling me in this post which specific product you’d most love to try from the Archie’s Girls collection!
