Find of the Month: Coleman
I’m very tempted to bill the next sixteen days as the Father’s Day brigade, as it feels like the bulk of my posts are dad-oriented, but of course that’s not entirely accurate. While we tend to think of outdoorsy / sporty stuff as guy territory for gifting, there’s no reason why you (or I) wouldn’t mind seeing any of these pop up as birthday, wedding, or housewarming gifts. But for the record? Dad’ll probably get a pretty big kick out of Coleman‘s entire awesome line of camping gear & gadgets. I’ve perused some of their latest and greatest and handpicked a handful of favourites that’ll suit any type of dad.

If dad’s a guy on the go that also happens to feel perfectly at home behind the grill, the NXT 100 is a genius gift idea. Their new line of outdoor games – including horseshoes, badminton, and a bean bag toss – are fantastic whether you’re simply rolling them out for a backyard BBQ or toting them along for a weekend getaway in the woods. My favourite of the mix is the washer toss game you see above – apparently this old school ‘sport’ with the world’s simplest objective (get the washer in the hole) is making a comeback, and this all-in-one kit ensures a pro and party-ready match-up. many moons ago I gave my husband a tent one year for Chrsitmas as I was tired of borrowing, last year I discovered it was so old and was no longer water proof, we had to drive home from Algonquin in the middle of the night or sleep in the lake in the middle of our tent! the gift I would give is a new 6 person tent!

I really like the Coleman NXT 100 portable grill. Not only is it a fabulous colour (that matters!), but I love that it looks light and easy to move, but packs some really power. I live in an apartment, and I can see this being so versatile for condos, apartment, and impromptu barbeques. Carpe Diem!

I really like the cooler. All I own is a soft sided filler, which is fine, but the Coleman hard coolers are so sturdy that you can use them as a chair too.
