Flash Post: Family Portrait

Family Portrait Wallpaper

What It Is: Wallpaper with a portrait print – allowing you to actually insert your own family photos for a fresh take on the ‘picture wall’ that dominates so many suburban households. Leave the frames empty for a stylish vintage glam look in your walk-in closet or powder room, or fill them up and decorate a single wall of the office, an entryway panel, or the wall beside your staircase for a truly modern take on togetherness. Each roll is 21″ w x 33′ l (10 m) so it should be a snap to fit into any space.

Who It’s For: Your urbanite sister, to decorate her chi-chi loft. Your surprisingly hip mom, to refurbish her empty nest. Your fashionista friend that’s just upgraded her home, to line the drawers of her new walk-in closet.

What It Costs: $145 / roll

Where It’s At: The amazing Scandinavian design store Huset.

I’d have to see it in real life to convince me it’s something that wouldn’t look tacky.

I think it would a lot of fun in the right space

I think this would look so cute in a dressing room with a large ornate mirror leaning up against the wallpaper. Cool!

  4. Victoria Ess says:

I think it’s incredibly creative, but I struggle to think of a place to put it in a “living” space.

hmmm…I don’t think so. Not for me anyways. o.O

  6. Susan says:

What fun! I think it would be great as a feature wall in an office or craft space for inspiration/ideas.

Ezensa bonus entry: I like the idea for maybe a kids room or single, small wall but nothing too big as I think it would just overwhelm the room especially if photos were placed in the “frames”. Also not that hot about the cost of a roll … $145, yikes! Thanks.
