Snap Happy

SocialmaticWhat It Is: A Polaroid camera for the 21st century. The Socialmatic camera is square-shaped to simulate an app, which in and of itself is a bit meta, as the beloved filters of Instagram are Polaroid-inspired. Want to save a photo from a special day? You can edit it using the camera’s digital scree, post it to social media, or print it off on the spot, making it an ultimate memory-making device from the originators of the instant film camera.

Who It’s For: Your daughter, to remind her that things on paper are still awesome. Your spouse, who loved the original Polaroid cameras and would like an update. Your sister, to snap memories of her new family on the fly as they expand.

What It Costs: $349

Where It’s At: Amazon.ca
