Live Your Dreams

Live Your Dreams

What It Is: January is a month for reinvention, as I’ve mentioned a few times here now, and that can often go beyond physical appearance. For 2016, I challenge you to look inside yourself and figure out what you really love doing – it doesn’t mean it’s the thing you want to do with your life, but something that brings your pure joy. For more on this, check out my book review on Big Magic from this holiday season.

In the meantime, may I offer a suggestion? CreativeLive.com is a cool new (to me anyway) site that offers free and paid (but totally affordable) online classes to train you in a huge range of skills and areas. Maybe you’ve always dreamed of starting a blog like this one or you’ve thought about creating an Etsy shop to sell your family-famous jarred pickles. CreativeLive.com has classes for that. Or perhaps you want to learn how to write music, use a piece of software, improve your people skills, or draw things. You choose the class, watch an intro video, check out the supplies needed, and move forward at your own pace. You can even sequence them together – take a class on crafting, then move into a class on setting up an onlnie business. CreativeLive.com is an amazing site that’s filled with possibility to help you reach your creative (and in many cases, business) potential.

Who It’s For: Your spouse, to take their after-work hobby into something potentially greater. Your son or daughter, to hone in on an early talent. Your coworker, as part of a co-challenge to try something different.

What It Costs: Prices vary and are in USD – many classes go on sale for limited periods. I saw everything from $29 up to $149 when clicking around.

Where It’s At: Visit CreativeLive.com now!

BONUS entry into last week’s Vichy giveaway – tell me in the comments below, which of these awesome classes you would or a loved one be keen to try out?
