DIY Gift: Of The Month Clubs – Boxer Edition
I don’t think I’m alone in saying that ‘Of The Month’ clubs have a weird sort of appeal to them. I guess because you get something new every few weeks, instead of a slew of presents on one special day. It probably explains the popularity of subscription services like magazines or beauty sampler boxes that are storming the nation right now.
But here’s a thought: why not create your OWN of-the-month club? Pick something you know will excite your giftee and enjoy scouring the shelves over the next year for a monthly treat to be served up on whatever day you originally gifted them (birthday, anniversary, or the first of the month). Bonus? You won’t have to shell out a bunch of cash all at once. In fact you can stock up at key sale times on whatever it is you’re gifting and save a bundle instead of splurging at Christmas. With that in mind I’m going to try and do a monthly post of twelve sources for of-the-month gift ideas. You might not decide to launch your DIY-gift for months so mind that some of these specific items probably won’t still be kicking around. But the sources are generally go-to’s.
Today? We’re focusing in on men’s boxers – which are particularly great because stores *love* to release theme ones, so you could in theory do a full holiday run-through like hearts for V-day, shamrocks for St. Patty’s, fireworks for Canada Day, and so on. I mean really, what guy wouldn’t want to replace his droopy drawers with a new set? They’re at a moderate price point, come in tons of different finishes and themes, and they’ve got a practical purpose underneath it all. Note: MANY of these stores offer discounts if you buy multiple pairs from them. See what I mean about stocking up & saving?

That Christmas-themed boxer is pretty funny! #cgg
Great idea to start your own Gift of the Month club. I would love to get flowers every month. I think my son would like a different box of K-cups each month! Thanks for a fun post and a great idea! #cgg
