Flash Post: Baker’s Best
What It Is: A five-piece enamelware bake set from classic British brand Falcon Enamelware. With nearly a century behind them, Falcon may not be a new name on the block, their recently revamped minimalist look has earned them a resurgence in popularity, particularly amongst the younger set. Oven-proof up to 530° and usable on the stove, these heavy-duty dishes are anything but heavy. In fact they feel pretty light and look pretty great. This particularly set is useful for making 3 sizes of casseroles (or what have you) plus it includes two pint-sized pie dishes, for those domestic afternoons.
Who It’s For: Your bakerella sister, to outfit her kitchen once and for all. Your sweeter-than-sweet couple friends, as a lovely wedding gift. Your sensational should-be chef mama, as a thoughtful birthday choice.
What It Costs: So…it appears you can get this particular set from the Falcon Enamelware site directly for $118 Canadian, which includes shipping – and really ain’t a bad price for a good set of quality bakeware. As an aside, I went through the first steps of the order process to get that price. Their FAQ says they don’t ship outside of the UK or the US, but trying to order them implied that they did as it very clearly referenced Canada in the shipping price. In Canada itself, I tracked down the red set at Domestic Curator for $130. You can also pick up their products at Crave Cupcake locations throughout Western Canada.
Where It’s At: See the above! Falcon Enamelware, Domestic Curator, or Crave Cupcake are your best bets.
