Flash Post: Life’s Journey
What It Is: In two words: No Excuses. This product is known as the world’s first truly portable gym by using resistance bands instead of bulky weights and equipment. It’s lightweight, folds into a handy laptop-style case, and makes it easy for you to work out no matter where you are or what you’re otherwise doing – from hotel rooms to cramped spaces to the office to your regular at-home workout spot. Aside from its portability, the Journey Gym also comes with a revolutionary method that only asks for four, five-minute segments of time out of your day. Harried mom? Busy student? Multi-tasking senior manager? Surely you can spare five here and there to work up a baby sweat and shed some pounds while you’re at it. The Journey Gym comes in several packages from the Core Kit (pictured above) to the full blown Ultimate System. Every kit includes workouts, equipment, and guidelines to get you on the way to a healthier lifestyle.
Who It’s For: Your post-baby wife, that’s not-so-subtly hinting she’d like a push to shed those post-partum pounds. Your training for a half-marathon sister, that also happens to be crazily busy with a dozen other activities. Your recovering from an injury parent, to ease them back into working out.
What It Costs: Depends on what kit you want, but the prices range from $299 – $399 (plus $33 shipping). You can also buy various accessories and workouts separately.
Where It’s At: The Journey Gym website, which yes, ships to Canada as noted above.
Spice Hunters bonus entry! Tell me in the comments below how you’re planning to shape up for swimsuit season…and whether the Journey Gym looks like a good fit for your fitness regime!
I am way too lazy for this, the unpacking and packing would just be an excuse for me to not do it, I just walk. I can see how this would be great for someone always on the go, or in a small space though.
I think this woud be great to take anywhere. I get ready for swimsuit season by running. It is the best way for me to get toned and lose a little couch potatoe weight from the long winter.
I’m going to get outside more to excercise. I think this system is great for someone on the go!
I’m cutting back on wheat & sweets & exercising more.
I’m planning on running and eating healthier. I like this product but I don’t know if I would keep up with it.
I’d started running again. I think the Journey Gym is neat, but I cannot for the life of me motivate myself to work out at home.
I just joined a Zumba class and what fun it is! I like that this system is so portable and has different options.
I’ll be doing a workout dvd during my daughters naps, but I would love this system!
I’m trying to use my rebounder every day, and I’ve got a workout DVD loaded in my laptop. Which I haven’t actually DONE yet, but am working up to it. I think the Journey Gym would be ideal for me because it’s compact, and I don’t have room for a permament gym set up at the moment.
as the weather warms up I’ll be walking a lot more, my main source of exercise. I like the idea of the Journey Gym because it is so compact and I only have a small flat so this would be ideal for me.
A portable gym would be ideal for me – last year I spent nearly half the year away from home and this is something I could take with me.
I’ve been working out on the treadmill for 30 minutes per day.
I just signed up at the gym but would love the Journey Gym to use at home!
The Journey Gym looks like a great idea for home use and travelling. I hope to start walking daily to get ready for summer weather.
I love this because I work out at home right now using DVDs and going for runs. This would be a nice way to mix it up! (Spice Trekkers entry bonus)
Spice Hunters bonus entry: I’m planning to shape up for swimsuit season by riding my bicycle to & from work … 12.3kms each way. Already started & I’m also already feeling it 🙂 The Journey Gym doesn’t look like a good fit for my fitness regime ‘cos I know I wouldn’t use it … I don’t really like to exercise just to exercise.
I think this looks like a good system….We’ve just been focusing on lots of long walks with our daughter 🙂
The Journey Gym looks like a great idea.
I’m going to start walking more and doing the stairs.
