Give ‘Em The Boot
What It Is: Apparently this is a Thing. A Thing spurred on by Pinterest, because after I pinned a pair of these it got a heck of a lot of love and I feel like that is mostly because Pinterest people love pretty things and these adorable ‘boot socks’ are definitely pretty. Available in mint and charcoal, the idea is to wear these knee highs so they peek out over the top of your favourite Winter Warrior boots for a feminine spin to your everyday outfit. Of course they could be worn sans peek or with a sweet grey wool skirt, but their real and true purpose is to add a pop of whimsy to the now-expected denim & boot combo.
Who It’s For: Your daughter, as a follow-up gift to those gorgeous boots you bought her for Xmas. Your wife, because she’s always harping on about updating her wardrobe. Your best friend, because she will totally understand the somewhat silly but awesome concept behind these beauties.
What It Costs: $24.99 a pair.
Where It’s At: Awesome Nova Scotia based boutique La Quaintrelle.
Bonus May Lindstrom entry – tell me in the comments below, would you rock these socks? Or know someone else that would?
Not my style.
I would wear these high socks, they are different!
I wouldn’t — a bit too cutesy!
Knee socks are cool, but the lace at the top is too frilly for me – I’d rather knit my own.
my daughters would love these with their Hunter boots
They may be cute, but I wouldn’t pay the price they are asking for them.
yes, they are so stylish and fun.
Aww I love these 🙂
but very expensive for my pocket book!
I would totally rock these socks! They’re super cute!
They are indeed cute socks, but not for me. I know my sister-in-law could rock ’em!
Cheers.
They’re so cute 🙂 I think I might give them a try
These are cute. I’m tempted, but it’s been so cold here that I’ve been bundled up like some kind of northwoods bush woman (ear flaps hat, full-length down parka with hood up, snowmobile gloves, long underwear, and fleece everything else). So I basically look like a lumberjack. And now the idea of having lacy turquoise socks peeking over my winter boots is making me giggle.
Yes I love them!
