We Interrupt This Blog For A Dress Emergency!

If you know a friend well enough to know her dress size, why not treat her with something unique to party in on her birthday? Dress911 is a small, independent boutique based in southern Ontario that primarily features one item. You guessed it – dresses.

Don’t be fooled by the simple concept though. The dresses sold on Dress911.com come from a range of designers and go from daytime sundresses to evening cocktail gowns. Channelling vintage and flower child vibes, the dresses are reminiscent of stuff you’d find on much pricier websites like Urban Outfitters or ModCloth, but at a fraction of the price.

Oh yes, the prices are unbelievable. About a third a of the dresses featured on the site are actually under $40, making them a totally affordable and appropriate birthday gift for your closest gal pal or sister. Plus, unlike the insane shipping warranted by Urban Outfitters and ModCloth ($10-$30) they offer a $7 flat rate for shipping anywhere in Canada and the US.

The thing I particularly like about this store is how often they add new dresses and new designers. You’re bound to find something that works for your special ladies if you keep on checking back (and maybe a few for yourself as well).

There are also a limited number of tops & bottoms available, mostly consisting of skirts and leggings.

As well there are a handful of accessories and bags you can throw into your order to top off your gift purchase – after all, if you’re only spending $30 on a dress, why not grab a cute charm necklace to cap off the look?

Tell me what you think...
