Flash Post: Slap Happy

What It Is: What’s old is new again, what goes around comes around – you get the picture, or at least you will, should one of these colourful silicon SLAP watches make their way into your hands (or around your wrists). Using the same addictive ‘technology’ as the ubiquitous 90s fashion accessory – the slap bracelet – these cute and colourful watches are a cheap and cheerful reminder that while fashion comes and goes, your personal style is eternal. Bonus: with  over 30 different faces and 30 different bands that can be mixed and matched, you can get a lot of mileage out of this fun accessory by creating endless possibilities for both adults AND kids, from rubbery brights to eye-catching prints and unique finishes.
Who It’s For: Your sister’s milestone birthday, to slightly rib her about how far away the 90s really were. Your niece’s junior high graduation, as a standout fashion accessory that has no past-relevance to her whatsoever. Your co-worker’s going-away party, so they can actually show up on time and look stylish for once (or twice).
What It Costs: Prices start at $19.95, although you can buy one whole watch and tack on another strap for $12.95. Or buy a multi-pack of the ‘originals’ for $99 – $149 (fun wedding party favours) and knock down the price to the $16 mark. I only checked out shipping on one of the multi-packs and it was a fairly reasonable $19.95 for 10 watches.
Where It’s At: I sourced these directly from the source: the SLAP Watch people.

Very fun and would be great for sports. I am an avid tennis player this would be great #cgg

Yes — they’ve made a return. My 10 year old niece asked for one for Christmas! #CGG
