Flash Post: Unlocked

What It Is:Not that you asked, but my general thought on keychains as gift is to avoid them – they’re one of the most ubiquitous promo giveaways out there, and people always either load up their keychain to the point where it’s not safe to drive with them plugged into the ignition, or they simply languish on a key rack. That being said…I do say get one if it’s going to rule all other keychains, and this silicon & steel style from Areaware might just be it. Cast from an 18th century Italian church key and available in a spectrum of 8 colours, these take the concept of keychain suddenly make perfect sense.
Who It’s For:Your kid, along with keys to their first car or home. Your employees, when they earn a promotion at your business to become keyholders. Your spouse, as a fun way to tease an extra special gift…like a new car!
What It Costs:Depends. I spotted the white key for $19.95 at a Canadian store, while the manufacturer’s website suggests $14 a pop.
Where It’s At:Check out Areaware‘s website for shop locations & online shopping, or purchase the white key at Neat.

Keys have certainly been popular in crafting circles, and I’m sure that many people would like these bright, easy-to-find key chains! #CGG

I feel the same way that you do about keychains as gifts, and unfortunately, these don’t cause a change of heart for me #CGG
