Peaches & Cream

It’s October – the perennial season of ORANGE. But seeing as how we’ve already covered tangerine, coral, and rose gold earlier this year, I thought it’d be fun to do a twist on the orange theme by handpicking five peachy keen gift items for your personal enjoyment. Without further ado…

Pretty Paper Straws – $4.95 for 25 @ Room 6
If you click on this link you’ll see these straws are apparently coral coloured (at least in name), but glancing at them lined up in a mason jar here you’d never be able to convince me of that! These vintage party favours are making waves as of late, particularly for girly bridal showers, cutesy baby showers, or whimsical weddings. Buy a package to give to the hostess, or doll up your daughter’s next birthday fete with a set.

Dakota Purse – $64 @ Sosie
Tote it as a stylish envelope clutch or sling it over your shoulder as a sleek going-out bag, this peach & cream vegan leather purse is an adorable, neutral choice for any gal’s wardrobe. It’s also surprisingly roomy – you can easily stuff all of your girly essentials into the multiple pouches, but also toss it into a tote bag or backpack if you’re wanting to keep it under wraps during your daily commute. Works wonders as a birthday gift for your girlfriend or sister.

Vineyard Peach Collection – $8 – $19 @ The Body Shop
Obviously one of the very best applications of ‘Peach’ is the scent itself – truly one of my favourite olfactory experiences. Give your morning shower a serious pick-me-up with The Body Shop’s new, limited-edition line of Vineyard Peach bath & body products, inspired by the Mediterranean groves where peaches are plentiful, or on a more local note, it’s kind of like diving face first into a bowl full of Fuzzy Peach candies! Available in a body scrub, shower gel, body butter, or body lotion, the entire line is infused with moisture-rich ingredients, including juicy peach kernel oil, nine of which are fair trade. Buy a single piece for your peach-loving pal as a lovely hostess gift, or get the entire set as a great Christmas gift for your favourite relative – hurry though, this collection won’t be in stores forever!

Shimmer & Shine Box: Peaches – $39 @ TINte Cosmetics
Three get-gorgeous items packed into one way-pretty package. Slick on peach-flavoured high-gloss lip shine in Peachie Sheen, toss a vintage-inspired tin of Peaches & Cream-flavoured lip colour into your purse, or dust on a shimmery sun kissed body powder. The ready-made gift box makes it an ideal fit for a pretty birthday or bridesmaid gift for your closest gal pals.

Champagne Peach Earrings – $39 @ laalee via luulla
An elegant choice, peach is one of my favourite jewelry colours thanks to its chameleon-like neutral properties. If you wear a rosy shade, expect these beauties to blend into your look with a subtle blush tone. Donning crisp white or stark black? They’ll pop like shimmery bits of sunlight tacked onto your ears. Makes a great choice for your mom or mother-in-law, or for your bridesmaids to don on your big day.

Jack & Jones Two-Tone Striped Boxers – $15 @ Simons
Finally a treat for the lads (or the ladies, depending on how you look at it). Peach may not be considered the most manly colour, but chic guys in-the-know will often wear it as a step back from straight-up pink. If your guy’s still a little peach-shy, treat him to a pair of cute and cosy boxer briefs so only you know the yummy look he’s rocking under his work clothes.
