Flash Post: Lost In The Woods

Neighborwood Coasters

What It Is: Cedar coasters engraved with neighbourhood maps of famous cities from around the world, via a hip little company called Neighborwoods. One side of each coaster features the breakdown of neighbourhoods, the other highlights the city’s name and established date. Toronto is the only Canadian city at the moment, but they do custom orders / take requests for other cities to add to their collection. Each set of four comes in a drawstring bag, making it ready-wrapped for gifting. I should mention that while I’ve pinpointed the awesomeness of the coasters, they also carry other products like wall art and keychains!

Who It’s For: Did someone in your life have a special event (like a marriage, proposal, or hah, conception) happen in one of the Neighborwood cities? Commemorate it with a set of coasters. Is someone moving to or from one of the Neighborwood cities? This makes a great bon voyage / welcome gift. Do I really just like writing the word Neighborwood? Um, yes.

What It Costs: Each set of 4 is $30, with $12 shipping to Canada.

Where It’s At: The Neighborwood website ships to Canada, and they’re starting to roll their products into retail stores (none in Canada yet). Petition your local gift shop to start carrying their goods!

Oh right, Rodial. If you want to earn a bonus entry, it’s simple: tell me which city you’d pick from all of Neighborwood’s featured towns, and if you want, what product you’d like to see it on.

  1. I like the Toronto Coasters. Perfect a friend who will be marrying soon. Who knew this company was even there. See. This is why I love to follow you. You find things for me. 🙂 I would love to custom made coasters for Smooth Rock Falls. Now, that would rock. 🙂

  2. Joan G says:

I don’t see this product as a big seller – not many people are prepared to pay $30 + shipping for coasters.
