Flash Post: Through The Looking Glass

Holga iPhone Lens Filter

What It Is: I feel like I’ve been featuring a lot of photography-related and phone-related gift ideas lately, but I can’t help it if there’s some really cool stuff going on in that general arena. Take for example, today’s nifty device from Holga that clips onto your iPhone and allows you to use neat colour and effect filters for truly artistic photographs – and ones that don’t feel at all like their Instagram compatriots. It’s as simple as turning a wheel, choosing a look, and snapping away to instantly see the world in a different way.

Who It’s For: Your snap-happy brother, for when his SLR just isn’t handy to hang around his neck. That friend with thousands of photos on Facebook, so she can put a personal stamp on her favourite images. Whichever one of your peeps is a new parent, so they can give their baby photos a funky spin.

What It Costs: The kit for the iPhone 4 is $23.99 while the iPhone 5 kit is $26.99 (both USD). They also offer a similar product for actual cameras and other phones too, and shipping is pretty darn reasonable.

Where It’s At: The Holga website.
