Glamour Galore
I love jewelry, but aside from the very lovely engagement ring on my finger, my fiancee is basically hands-off (and neck, and wrist, and ears) when it comes to buying me gems – not that I’m not spoiled in other ways by him! That’s why I always keep an eye out for brands that marry standout style with a savvy price point – such as Los Angeles-based shop 1929Galore. Designed by the ridiculously talented TeQuia and named for a combination of her & her sister’s birthdays, this fantastic site is stacked to the rafters with amazing, affordable, pieces that run the gamut from timeless to trendy, including TeQuia’s own handmade ‘Boutique Collection‘. I spent a goooood long time on there to pick out my ten favourite pieces with the intent you’ll send a few links to your hubby for Valentine’s Day next month. Good news – 1929Galore is pretty familiar with shipping up North, so rest assured you won’t see lofty fees when you go to place your order.
Amor Necklace – $55
I have a borderline obsession with rose gold at this point, so this necklace immediately caught my eye. Add to that the oh-so-chic rhinestone-inlaid Spanish word for ‘love’ and you have a real keeper – for Valentine’s Day and beyond. I especially love the slightly longer length for a modern touch.
Arrow Bangle – $20
I have a fixation for arrowheads for some reason, so this plated bracelet (which is also available in silver) caught my eye. I love the openness of the top and how eye-catching it is when actually on your wrist – such an unexpected use of the accessory. Plus it’s adjustable, meaning it’ll fit everyone from your little sis to your great aunt Myrtle. Check out the matching rings while you’re at it!
Every Necklace – $25
Tribal flavour marries street style with this blingy spiked necklace. Available in five shades, this is an easy statement maker that doesn’t come with a ginormous price tag. The beveled coloured rhinestones add a cheery pop of colour to an otherwise fierce piece.
