It’s A Wash
My natural beauty posts have been a hit as of late, so I thought it was due time to share another great Canadian brand with your best interests at heart. Jordan River Soapworks is based in the great province of BC, and draws its name from coastal name of the same town. The gist of the brand is simple: to create natural, handmade products that aren’t loaded with allergen-causing fragrance or of course, synthetic ingredients that are as bad for your skin as they are for the earth. Today I’m going to take you through a quick tour of the brand’s line-up of bath goodies that make perfect presents for a range of gift-giving occasions.
One of the most refreshing things about Jordan River Soapworks is how short their ingredients list. Although their artisanal soaps ($12 each) boast lush combinations like soothing Lavender & Clay or energizing Grapefruit & Bergamot, the ingredients are blessedly in short supply: made only with a few basic oils you could pick up in the grocery store, natural essential oils, and in some cases – dried flowers or peppermint leaves to ramp up the scent factor. I love the packaging, very real looking and back to basics. Looks like real quality soaps and butters. I’d love to try the lip butter and body butter and also the lavender clay artisan soap and the peppermint artisan soap but I’m sure I’d love them all. I try to buy real soaps whenever I can find some, it’s much better than storebought. These soaps looks so rich and made with real ingredients.
