What The World Needs Now Is Love, Sweet Love

polaroid love notes

What It Is: A lot of people ask me, “Are you doing anything for Valentine’s Day?” The answer to that is a little convoluted, but the short answer is ‘no’, apart from a tradition in which my husband writes me a love letter on that day. All of this to say – sometimes simply expressing your feelings for the person you love can be enough of a way to really celebrate this day for lovers (in a calorie-free way, I might add). This adorable box of Polaroid Notes features 20 notecards and envelopes; each notecard is the exact dimensions of a real Polaroid photograph, and features a whimsical image tinted in that newly re-popular Instragrammish haze. What you jot down inside and how often you deliver a note to your sweetheart is up to you – just know the best way of saying I love you is to, you know, say it.

Who It’s For: Yourself, to surprise loved ones of all types whenever they’re in need of some kind words from you. Your wife, because she loves sending messages to her friends, family (and you). Your college-aged kid that’s studying or traveling abroad, as a friendly reminder to write home every now and again.

What It Costs: A box will set you back $18.95

Where It’s At: Indigo

We always go out for a special dinner. We also exchange cards; I have given my husband the same card for the last 7 years and he has never noticed! My daughters get a big laugh out of this and want me to tell him but I want to see how long I can keep it going 🙂
