Reasons For Seasons

Current Covets March 2014Spring means colour. Colour makes me happy. Thus, despite its horrendous teasing and slushy roads, spring somewhat makes me happy – at least when it comes to shopping. I’ve pulled together a few of my latest current covets for your perusing pleasure, all inspired by some of spring’s most commonplace shades.

(from L to R)

Myrum Mini Bag – $45 @ Aldo: While I’m all about the big bag, sometimes it’s nice to have a ladylike petite tote to stash your essentials when say, hitting a brunch or taking a stroll. This cute option from Aldo comes in five different shades, including spring-friendly coral, yellow and mint. A perfect birthday pick at this price.

Be Who Uke Are Dress – $92.99 @ ModCloth: I apparently have an affinity for pineapples as many of my favourite pieces from the ModCloth warehouses as of late are Hawaiian-inspired, like this sweet folksy cotton dress that’s simply begging to be worn while sipping on a glass of lemonade.

Candy Colored Layering Necklace – $52 @ Capwell: If you like general look of this elegant yet playful necklace, you’ll be pleased to know that Capwell has an entire line of ‘candy’ hued gems to spruce up your favourite crisp white dress or v-neck blouse. With fab price points, you can easily score something for mom or your sis that’ll make them shine.

Bright Yellow Jonathan Adler for TOMS Women’s Classics – $69 @ Toms.ca: Design guru Jonathan Adler’s latest foray is into footwear, with a lineup of four colourful, trendy prints applied to the brand’s classic slip-on shoes. I love these chic bright yellow ones for bringing in one of spring’s hottest trends: tribal!

Kensie Stretch Crepe Blazer – $99 @ Hudson’s Bay: Available in both pink and (an admittedly less neon shade of) blue, this chic blazer is a fab way to punch up your spring wardrobe both at work and in everyday life. The simple one-button design gives this otherwise classic piece a modern edge while a hint of polka dot prettiness at the elbows sweetens things up.

There you have it – five more of my current covets all with a spring-y vibe. Want a bonus entry into my Jac-Out-Of-The-Box Jewelry giveaway before it’s too late? Leave a comment below telling me which of these lovely gift (or shopping list) items you love the most and why.
