I’m Crazy For Zoo
What It Is: These papier-mâché animal sculptures are not only handcrafted by artisans in Haiti, they’re made entirely of recycled materials – making them an apt choice to outfit your home in time for Earth Day tomorrow. Inspired by the wild animals roaming the savannah, these chic white faux busts are also friendly to the creatures that they’re based on. Consider a piece to set off an uber modern office, an arrangement for a more stylish take on a man cave, or to go with any kind of tribal-themed living space.
Who It’s For: Your spouse, as some cool artwork for their office. Your sibling, as a stylish housewarming present. Your would-totally-get-it best friend, as a funky wedding gift.
What It Costs:$113+
Where It’s At:West Elm
Bonus entry into my Fortress Geek giveaway – tell me in the comments below, would you hang one of these eco chic busts on your wall? Are you doing anything special for Earth Day?
No I don’t think I would hang these, they are not my style.
My sis-in-law has something similar! But for me, not my style.
Earth day – no plans as of yet just hope to be outside should the weather be nice.
Cheers.
You won’t be seeing these on my walls – no plans for earth day.
I’m undecided about these. Earth Day? No special plans.
I love the hippo! I would never have real heads on my wall but these are cute! For Earth Day I will definitely participate in the town events. We have a lot going on here since we are a National Park!
Although I admire the craftsmanship, these wouldn’t go with my decor.
I would not hang these and we didn’t have any special plans.
I don’t think I would hang them on my walls. We took part in Earth Hour, but didn’t do anything special on Earth Day.
I’m sorta digging the hippo. I’d hang it next to my stuffed animal moose head.
I could see the hippo working well on my wall – enjoyed the outdoors on earth day
I dont think so – dont really like animals on my wall
Fortress Geek bonus entry: I probably wouldn’t hang one of these eco chic busts on my wall ‘cos I just don’t like the idea of promoting animals as trophys. Didn’t do anything special for Earth Day ‘cept what I normally do – be courteous to mother earth. Every day should be Earth Day 🙂 thanks.
