Plug & Play

Bang Bang TentsWhat It Is:So I know camping is all about escaping the daily grind and how connected we all are…but wouldn’t your next outing be more fun if you could play some music as you sit around the campfire? Or wouldn’t you feel more safe, knowing you could charge your phone? Or stay entertained by watching a movie on your laptop on a rainy day? The amazing thing is, you can do all of these things when you purchase one of these solar-powered tents from Bang Bang Tents. Available in six fun patterns, these sturdy tents weight just 5 KG, come with their own handy carrying case, sleep four happy campers, and yes, include a place for you to plug in – just a little bit – that’s powered by a built-in solar panel. If you want to be the envy of your campground, pick one of these babies up!

Who It’s For:Your sibling, to take out to the music festival tour they’re hitting up this summer. Your kid, to bring out camping and earn instant credo with his or her friends. Your ever-connected dad, so you can convince him to go on a camping trip this summer without sacrificing his precious tech.

What It Costs:Each tent is about $338 Canadian (they’re from a UK brand) with about $45 shipping.

Where It’s At: Bang Bang Tents ships worldwide, so buy ’em straight from the source.

I use to be a camper but my idea of roughing it now is a 4 star hotel. My grandkids would love the Hansel & Gretel and make great use out of the solar powered feature.

From The Blue House bonus entry: Tof these cute tents, I adore their Fool on The Hill: Solar powered tent best http://bangbangtents.com/products/fool-on-the-hill … you can’t see me, haha. I have camped but I wouldn’t say I’m a die-hard. I do like toilets that flush, too much 😉

I love the Fool on The Hill tent. I’m not much of a camper because I grew up in the country so camping wasn’t all that different from just going out in the yard, but I’m starting to see the appeal a lot more now that I live in the city.
