Shake It Like A…

Shake n Make Ice Cream MakerWhat It Is:If you’re sweltering in the heat and you want a sweet treat – nothing can be beat like ice cream in the summertime (see what I did there?) Instead of heading to your grocery store’s freezers, why not make something delicious at home? The Shake N Make Ice Cream Maker doesn’t take up the bulk of a heavy duty machine, and it’ll give you your frosty treat in mere minutes. Basically you start by adding some salt and ice, then stuff in whatever flavours you want to experiment with – yogurt? coffee? chocolate shavings? You name it! Shake it up for three minutes and presto, you’ve got ice cream, just like that. Ingenious!

Who It’s For:The grandkids, so you can have a fun afternoon concocting experimental treats together. Your hubby, so he can stop nipping out to 7-11 for a late night pint of Ben & Jerry’s. Your friend – as a funky hostess gift she can break out during the party.

What It Costs:About $30 (it’s coming from a UK site).

Where It’s At:Firebox

Speaking of summertime treats, why not earn another bonus entry into my The One & Only beach reads giveaway? It’s your last chance! Tell me in the comments below: What’s your fave ice cream flavour? Would you invest in this nifty kitchen gadget?

Love this. I like any ice cream with nuts and caramel and would have to try the Shake N Make.

I love pralines and cream, and would definitely love to try this. I have an ice cream attachment to my KitchenAid mixer, but you have to make sure you plan ahead and it is still a two day process.

I loved tin roof sundae and heavenly hash but those flavours are getting more difficult to find. Most of the time I buy chocolate and peanut butter.
