Winter Pick-Me-Ups

Anyone who knows me well knows I’m not exactly winter’s BFF. I tend to get really sluggish and lethargic and gross in January and February. So I’m trying to keep myself motivated this year by doing things that’ll give me the means to get me the things on my latest & greatest Current Covets roundup. Check ’em out below.

Winter Pick-Me-Ups

Zoya Nail Polishes – $9 each – I was at a salon recently and was drooling over their collection of Zoya polishes. I’ve received one in the past through a beauty box and I have to say – this stuff goes on smoothly and lasts. With literally hundreds of shades to choose from, more from this non-toxic brand may be making its way into my polish collection soon enough.

Levtex Personalized Pillows – $27 each @ Nordstrom – I love me some throw pillows and these are just about the cutest ones I’ve seen. Each one is different from the next, yet the neutral beige tone works with just about any decor.

Restore by Gaiam 12″Textured Foam Roller – $29.99 – I’ve been hearing about the benefits (and pains!) of foam rolling for years, but this is the year I actually want to try it out for myself. I love the look and size of this nubbly roller.

Sweet & Sara Vegan Marshmallows – $5.29 each – Something you may not know isn’t vegetarian: marshmallows. Yes, those gooey, fluffy, chemical-tasting treats are actually made with gelatin, which is, roughly speaking, animal feet. While the odd marshmallow has made its way into my belly since going veg, it’s not something I make a habit of. Enter delicious, gourmet marshmallows like these and you’ve got a happier camper.

Steam Park – $52.50 @ Amazon.ca – I played a lot of board games over the holidays (thanks mom & dad for Settlers of Catan!) Along the way this game caught my eye – a board game that lets you build a 3D popup theme park to best your rivals. Finally, a game combining two of my great loves!

Spornette Little Wonder No. 111 – $8 @ Amazon.ca – That’s not a toothbrush. Flat hair in the wintertime sucks – but this nifty little stylist-preferred brush is a great way to get some volume at the roots, particularly if you’re doing some buns, bouffants or other at-home updos.

Art Gala Printed Dress – $44.99 @ Ruche – I’m having a bit of a love affair with Ruche at the moment, in part because of their generous Canadian shipping policies (free over $75 + no taxes on receipt, at least not with my first experience shopping with them). It helps that they keep on introducing lust-worthy pieces like this pretty printed dress.

Bonus entry time! Tell me what your fave ‘wish list’ item is from my list above – and you’ll score a bonus entry into this week’s awesome $100+ Party Lite giveaway!
