Give It A Curl

Kiss InstawaveWhat It Is: A very handy and easy-to-use styling device for ladies looking to add a little curl to their life. When people first meet me, they often ask about my hair. Namely, how I’m so good at curling it. Truth be told, my awesome stylist taught me how the pros do it and I can recreate the look at home – and do on a regular basis. But I was intrigued by the Kiss Instawave when I read about it a couple of months ago, so much so, that I added it to my holiday wish list. The device is designed for folks who are a little intimidated by curling their hair – the ‘teeth’ on the bottom will grab your hair for you and curl it around the wand effortless to ensure even heating. There’s two temperature settings that’ll help define whether you get tight, classic curls or looser, beachy waves. So why does a self-proclaimed curl connoisseur want this device? Two reasons. First, I was interested in how the device ‘organizes’ your hair on the rod – and it does. It took me a few tries to master the technique but once I did, it was so effortless, and I could see my friends that aren’t so curling iron savvy loving this. I also was really psyched to see the wand had a multi-directional option, so you can curl inwards and outwards for a more beachy, chill look (something I *can’t* do with my regular iron).

Who It’s For: Your younger sister that’s just dying to add some life to her locks. Your friend that’s terrified of curling their hair. Your haircare-obsessed bestie, so she can add another look to her lineup.

What It Costs: $69.95

Where It’s At: Walmart Canada (and online).
