Find of the Month: CogniTea

So here we are, in February. On the upside, winter is at least halfway over for a lot of us (and where I live, we’ve had a generally mild winter so far). On the downside, you’re probably at peak ‘winter blues’ season. I know February is always a rough month for me as I feel lethargic and altogether kind of icky – too much time spent indoors! This month’s big find however, is meant to combat that very feeling.

cognitea 20pack-with-samplepackMeet CogniTea – a unique all-natural hot beverage designed to give you the energy of caffeine without the nasty side effects. That’s right, no jitters, no crashing. How does it work you ask? Well it does include caffeine, for one thing – so any naysayers that tell you they can’t live without their ‘fix’, no worries. But it’s a mere 90 mg of natural caffeine (to put things in perspective, pregnant women are ‘okay’ to have 300 mg per day). And it’s coupled with L-Theanine, a naturally derived energy-booster from green tea, for a natural high that won’t see you crashing into a pit of despair hours later.

CogniTea IngredientsAs a matter of fact, all of the ingredients in CogniTea are totally natural – and associated with putting a pep in your step, from superfoods like goji berries and guarana seeds, to refreshing peppermint leaves and bilboa leaves. Made from just 11 ingredients, this is a way more holistic way to improve your mental focus and clarity – especially in comparison to those scary, sugar-loaded energy drinks. It’s also lower in calories, so if your friend loves caffeine but can’t stomach coffee without a pile of foam, sugar, cream and flavouring, this is another way to get that boost without consuming a meal’s worth of fat and calories.

CogniTea 40pack

One of the things I like best about the brand is the rave reviews they’re getting from all walks of life, as a safer, healthier way to ramp up your energy levels. Whether you’re a backpacker looking for an early morning hit of energy or an office worker looking for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up or a tired parent that simply needs to stay awake, CogniTea may just be the all-natural solution you’re looking for. The product is available in several sizes, including a Stocking Stuffer-appropriate sample pack, or a larger box (sold in 20, 40 or 100 tea bag sizes) that works great for your kitchen or your office.

CogniTeaRight now CogniTea‘s products are only available to Canadians through their website – where you can also learn a ton about the brand’s followers and the tea’s benefits (as well as proper steeping technique). A Sample Pack is pretty affordable, at $6, while a 100-pack will set you back $90 (did I mention switching to CogniTea will also save you countless dollars otherwise spent on lattes?) Shipping is a little on the high side – typically around $10-$12, however for the month of February 2015, enter the code ‘CGG2015’ at checkout to receive 10% off your first order and help offset some of those costs.

Finally, this month I’m giving the gift of increase clarity (and a tasty beverage to boot). There are two prizes to be won this month:

1st Prize – 1x 40-Pack of CogniTea
