Pros and Contours

MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Duo

What It Is: An amazing new gel-based contouring duo from MAKE UP FOR EVER. I’ve had the pleasure of trying this product out over the last couple of weeks and I’ve got two things to say about it. One, it’s super easy to use. Two, it works like a charm. For the unfamiliar, contouring is that secret way to give you a ‘no makeup’ look while making your features pop. By artfully applying the shimmery highlight powder and the contrasting taupe contouring powder (and there are tutorials for how to do so right on the Sephora website), you’re able to work with your cheekbones and bone structure to give your face some glamorous definition. I was always afraid of contouring as – if applied too heavily – it can give you a clown-ish or ‘bearded lady’ look. But the pigmentation here is so light that even a pale gal like myself can make it work.

Who It’s For: Your beauty-obsessed bestie, for her birthday. Your wife, as another product to try out. Your niece, to give her a head start on mastering contouring.

What It Costs: $45. I strongly recommend picking up the accompanying brush!

Where It’s At: Sephora.ca and stores across Canada.

Bonus entry into this month’s beauty giveaway from Nourage! Tell me in the comments below – have you tried any contouring products? Any faves?
