Roolen The World

RoolenWhat It Is: The city I live in is quite dry – to the point where my doc straight up prescribed me a humidifier in the bedroom for the bloody nose and dry throat I was waking up to every morning (TMI?) Had I known about Roolen at the time, I definitely would have opted for this amazing ‘smart’ humidifier. Basically you set the humidity level you want in your room. Roolen constantly reads the air’s humidity level and adjusts accordingly, meaning it uses less water and energy, not only saving you dollars, but also the hassle of having to constantly refill it. Bonus points for being quiet and sleekly designed – this nifty device comes in both white and black. And honestly? It costs about what I paid for my generic humidifier. If I ever need an upgrade or replacement, this is top of my list!

Who It’s For: Fellow dry city dwellers, as a fantastic moving gift. Your allergy or illness-prone sibling, as a swell housewarming gift they’ll actually use. The newlyweds in your life that put this on their wish list.

What It Costs: $149.99

Where It’s At: Amazon.ca

Bonus entry into last week’s Snappets giveaway! Tell me in the comments below – do you use a humidifier? What do you think of this one?

We use a pot of water on top of the wood stove, but still have dry skin etc. This one sounds like an excellent one.

I don’t use a humidifier as have never found one that works well. But this one certainly looks like it would be worthwhile.

When I was a child, I used a humidifier as I got frequent nosebleeds otherwise. But as an adult, I don’t bother.

I use a humidifier in my bedroom for the same reasons you do. I love the style of the Roolen and the fact that it monitors the humidity and runs accordingly.

  10. Susan says:

I had a child’s humidifier that I gave to my son for his daughter. I think this is a great idea as the air gets so dry especially during the winter.

We don’t use a humidifier in summer, but will use it often in the winter. Really dry here in Manitoba.
