Make a Nest
What It Is: Quirky nesting dolls inspired by pop culture. Hand painted and made from wood and magic clay, these funky nesting dolls come in a variety of sizes – both when it comes to physical height and number of matryoshka included per set. The artist seems to have a particular fascination with Wes Anderson as virtually all of the director’s films are represented (including Fantastic Mr. Fox), but there’s plenty of other memorable characters to choose from – including Breaking Bad, KISS, and The Big Bang Theory.
Who It’s For: The fangirl / fanboy in your life, for them to geek out over. The Wes Anderson enthusiast, because what’s more quirky and Anderson-esque than nesting doll art? The nesting doll lover, for some truly one-of-a-kind folk art.
What It Costs: The prices range based on the collection you pick, but are typically between $120 – $260.
Where It’s At: Bobo Babushka, an Etsy shop.
