Bunk Buddies

Kid-O-Bunk

What It Is: A kid-friendly set of toteable beds that are perfect for camping adventures and other outdoorsy excursions. Whether you stack them as bunk beds, use them as a bench, or sleep side-by-side under the stars, these durable bunk beds are a snap to set up and require no tools! This is a great space-saving solution in a cramped tent as it not only maximizes your total space, the beds also include storage pockets to keep essentials (like a flashlight) close at hand. While the kid-friendly ones are obviously ultra adorable, they also come in adult sizes, with each bed designed to withstand 400 lbs of weight.

Who It’s For: Your kids, to give them an appreciation for the great outdoors. Your camping buddy, so you can go halfsies and bring your kids this summer. Your grandchildren, so they can sleep outside at the next big family reunion.

What It Costs: The kid set includes two bunks and retails for $269. The adult sets are similar but bigger, and start at $299.

Where It’s At: A few retailers in Canada – try Bass Pro Shops or Cabela’s. The kids version is here.

BONUS entry into this month’s Lotus Wei giveaway – tell me in the comments below what you think of this fun gift idea. Are you a camper? Is your family?

campers in the family are my son-in-law & my grandson

  2. Cara says:

These look super cool. I’m not a huge camper. These would also be really neat & useful for home daycares, etc.

  3. Rachel C. says:

I think this is a very cool idea – my boyfriend and both his brothers could really make good use of these.

  4. yvonne says:

what a great idea! my daughter is the “camper” in our family!

  5. Joan G. says:

Where were these years ago when we did camp and had a smaller vehicle. Now roughing it is a Best Western or a Holiday Inn.

  6. Annie says:

I think this is a great idea. I had a similar cot for myself when we camped and now use it when we have extra house guests. They are very useful.

  7. Lindsey says:

I don’t camp but it think this is a great idea… for someone else!

  8. intensev5 says:

We go camping every year for 3-4 weeks of that summer. I love this product!

  9. Anne Derkat says:

Great idea. My son and his 2 boys camp a lot so would find this very handy when their friends come along.

  10. Aimee says:

This would be great to keep at grandparents houses.

This is a great idea, plus I like how small they fold up when not using them. Would be very handy when there is extra company at the house as well.

  14. Susan says:

I am not a camper, however, think this is a great idea! Love the portability and the flexibility of configuring the set to whatever you need at the time.

  15. Dreena says:

These are really cool! I’m not into camping, but my son likes to go.
    Cheers.

  16. mcmc says:

we’re campers and these would be good for grandkids

  17. Susan T. says:

I love camping but I think I’d rather just use a sleeping bag on a padded mat. I’m not sure how stable these look! Maybe great for kids though.

  18. Alison K says:

Find of the Month: Lotus Wei bonus entry: I think these are great, versatile times to take camping. Not a great camper but I can 😉

  19. Mary warner says:

For kids yes. Smaller, don’t have so fat to fall, for adults maybe not. How stable are they with restless adults.

  20. Victoria Ess says:

This is neat! It’d be hard to find a tent to accommodate these though.

  21. Donnas says:

These would be great if I was a camper, but I’m not.

  22. katydidit21 says:

I love to camp but not sure I would use these in a tent. Love this idea for a extra bed for kids when people come to stay.

  23. Kelly H says:

Neat idea, but I think i prefer roughing it on the ground when camping 🙂

  24. Shelley N says:

I am not someone who likes to camp but these look like a great idea especially since they do not need a bunch of tools to put them together.
