Here, There and Everywhere

I Kinda Like It Here Coasters

What It Is: A quirky collection of laser cut coasters that mimic the layout of significant cities. So far the ‘I Kinda Like It Here’ coaster collection only covers Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa and Winnipeg in Canada, but you can also get the Toronto coasters in trivet form. Nab a four-pack of your city of choice or get a multi-pack that includes all four. You can also acquire Stockholm or Los Angeles, should you or a loved one have a connection to those places. It’s a neat yet subtle ode to a place you may call home and definitely a conversation starter for your next fete.

Who It’s For: Your mom, who moved across the country and still misses the place she was born. The hostess, as a cool thank you gift she’ll treasure. The boss, who is saying bon voyage with a job transfer but will always call your city home.

What It Costs: $40 a set.

Where It’s At: The National Design Collective (NDC) store.

BONUS entry into yesterday’s Odacite giveaway – tell me in the comments below what you think of this swell gift idea.

Might be something a few people would be interested in, not me – when I use coasters I want ones that don’t let the moisture from the glass go through the coaster. They must have a solid bottom.
