Calendar Boys

ShopBoys

What It Is: In my non-blogging life, I work with a professional services firm, so I know for a fact that it’s Small Business Week in Canada! With that in mind, I thought this gift idea was very cool on all fronts. It’s a 2016 calendar, artfully designed by the agency Wax, featuring images of small business entrepreneurs based in Calgary. The twist is proceeds from the calendar will actually go toward the Women’s Venture Program, run by a local not-for-profit called Momentum. This program helps low-income women realize their business ideas – so not only do you get to enjoy some entrepreneurial eye candy over the next year, you get to support future business leaders as well!

Who It’s For: Your entrepreneurial friend, to decorate their office. Your sibling that lives in Calgary, as a fun tribute to her city. Your boss, as a quirky yet cool gift they’ll love to talk about.

What It Costs: The calendar sells for $25, all profits go to the aforementioned charity.

Where It’s At: You can buy the calendar online or at a range of Calgary-based retailers.

BONUS entry into my KittyKitty giveaway – tell me in the comments below, what do you think of this charitable gift idea?
