Crayon Bandoliers

What It Is: A way cute concept: bandoliers designed to hold your little one’s crayons. For the unfamiliar, a bandolier is more commonly used as a shoulder belt for stashing bullets – but that concept has been neutered with these charming cotton blend straps that ensure your child’s creative tools are always at their fingertips. Available in a wide range of colours and patterns – from pink camo to basic black – these fun accessories also come fully loaded with a collection of 24 Crayola Crayons.

Who It’s For: Logically, any adorable children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, ‘surrogate’ children that belong to your friends, and so on.

What It Costs: Prices start at $36 (based on the current exchange). Some prints cost a bit more. Shipping is about $12.

Where It’s At: Etsy shop Jordandene.

BONUS entry into yesterday’s Vichy giveaway – tell me in the comments below, what do you think of this gift idea? Know anyone that would love it?

    This is super cute!

To be honest it makes be a bit uncomfortable to see a child so young walking around with something emulating bullets. I know kids play guns all the time and I don’t know why this puts me off, but it does.

  5. Sherry K's avatar Sherry K says:

Don’t really like that it looks like bullets and would have have the crayons in a nice box.

  6. katydidit21's avatar katydidit21 says:

I think it’s a cute idea but a little too pricey.

  7. Joan G.'s avatar Joan G. says:

I’m not sold on the idea and my grandkids are too old.

  8. Jessica e's avatar Jessica e says:

    I think it’d be cumbersome.

That is such a cute idea – bandoliers. I have a tomboy niece & this would be perfect to for her arsenel of art supplies 🙂

  13. Shannon's avatar Shannon says:

    It’s cute but seems impractical.

  14. Kathleen's avatar Kathleen says:

I think a lot of military families would love this for their kids.

  15. Gigi's avatar Gigi says:

I think it’s a good way to get kids to put their crayons away! I know a 5 year old who would love it!

  16. mcmc's avatar mcmc says:

no one in my family is young enough to enjoy this but it is a fun idea.

  17. connieD's avatar connieD says:

    I think these are apalling.

  18. tammy ta's avatar tammy ta says:

Who wants crayons worn all around the house-quick access whenever a little one feels the need to colour a wall?-Not a smart idea in my opinion.

  19. Susan's avatar Susan says:

I think this would totally frustrate a child trying to get the crayons in and out of the holders. What’s wrong with a simple box?

  20. Lynda Larsen-Baldry's avatar Lynda Larsen-Baldry says:

I think it is a cute idea especially for younger children thank you

  21. Debbie White Beattie's avatar Debbie White Beattie says:

I can’t really see kids wanting to wear this and it’s not really practical when they are colouring because the crayons should be in front of them not on them.

  22. AliKira's avatar AliKira says:

I’m sure that my nephew would love it!

  23. intensev5's avatar intensev5 says:

How fun my nephew would love this!!!

  24. Alison K's avatar Alison K says:

Vichy bonus entry: I think this gift idea helps to change the negativity of the bandolier but it still reminds me of sadness ‘cos out in the world there are child soldiers who aren’t playing with crayons. I don’t think anyone I know would love it

  25. Anne Derkat's avatar Anne Derkat says:

My hairdressers little guy would love this.

  26. Kimberley Hamilton's avatar Kimberley Hamilton says:

This is such a fab idea! I work at a daycare and I know the kids there would adore running around with one of these, creating art whenever they can

  27. Tamara Attanasio's avatar Tamara Attanasio says:

I think it’s pretty funny. I wonder if it would lead to kids drawing on more random surfaces since they have their crayons at the ready

  28. Shelley N's avatar Shelley N says:

I am sure most kids would love it but my association with those is when the big bloody shoot out at the end of the movie arrives so I would be uncomfortable giving this to a child.

  29. aly3360's avatar aly3360 says:

I think these are cute, but a little expensive. I’d love a belt version over the sash also.

  30. Susanne Craig's avatar Susanne Craig says:

My 3 yr old grandson would love this.

Nope- I don’t like this one. The kids might like it but do you really want them having their crayons available all day long? I can see a lot of walls colored etc.

  33. it is a cute idea – but I dont think I would get it

  34. I think this idea is fun! I know my son would love these.
