Kaleidoscope of Colour
Ever since I started my online boutique Ever Rose, I’ve been eagerly anticipating spring – a season I admittedly just kind of shrugged at in the past. And for good reason…spring is the season for the prettiest of clothes and makeup, with fresh pastels taking over from the more muted tones that tend to dominate our fall and winter wardrobes. One brand that’s jumping on the spring colour bandwagon is Quo Cosmetics, which has just launched their new Prismatic Collection exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart stores across Canada. Prismatic Eyeshadow Palettes in Intergalactic, Colourful Life and Infinity – $18 each
A little bit space age, a little bit retro groovy, this season’s shadow palettes are all about soft kisses of colour that borrow from all shades of the rainbow. Intergalatic is a stunning pick if you love cool tones ranging from icy blue to sandy beige, whereas Infinity warms things up with elegant peaches and taupes. If you want to span the entire spectrum of colour, then opt for Colourful Life, which has 10 pretty pastels that call to mind Easter eggs! Honestly though, at this price you can probably even warrant picking up more than one palette to set off your eyes (and new spring wardrobe) this season.
Prismatic Face Palettes in Moonwalk and Stardust – $18 each
If you’re not much of a shadow gal, trust me, blushes and bronzers and contouring powders are still very much a worthy addition to your makeup arsenal. Ever since contouring has entered the mainstream via the likes of the Kardashian clan, more and more makeup brands are answering the call by launching easy-to-use complementary palettes, like these new travel-friendly options from Quo Cosmetics. Rendered in two Neapolitan-ice cream inspired combinations, each face palette contains a soft pink blush with a hint of sparkle, as well as a highlighter and bronzer. Quo nailpolish
I haven’t worn make up since my early twenties. I’m now 51 and my skin isn’t as nice at it was, lol. I recently decided that I need to start wearing make up again to look my best. My plan is to get someone to show me how to apply it to my advantage, and to get a good product to work with. The eye shadow and face paletts look like they would be a good product to buy. I will check out youtube tutorials as suggested by you! Maybe it will help me.
