The Tortoise & The Hare

Fast Slow Pro

What It Is: With Easter coming up tomorrow, I simply had to share a gift idea that speaks to the season…sort of. At the very least, it reminded me of the dichotomy of the infamous Tortoise and the Hare. Meet the Breville Fast Slow Pro, a multi-tasking, multi-functional device that you’ll wonder how you’ve ever lived without. This unique device works as both a slow cooker and a pressure cooker, and has been specifically designed to make whatever you’re cooking the perfect texture with the most flavour possible. What does this mean? Well first of all, it means hands off cooking – no more stressing and fussing and stirring over the stove or checking on a roast in the oven. For example, this amazing little device can actually make mouthwatering-risotto (I should know – I tried it this week and it turned out splendid!)

Secondly, it can also save you money. Tougher cuts of meat are often cheaper because they’re trickier to cook. But with the Fast Slow Pro, you can get the most out of your meat with tender, juicy results every time. Plus, it can save you time. The pressure cooker function is a shortcut to perfectly tender-crisp veggies, mashed potatoes, and meat. Did I mention it also works as a steamer? Or that it can make extra flavourful soup broths in mere minutes? Or that it’ll save you space because you can clear out a few extra appliances? Impressed yet? I sure am!

Who It’s For: The happy couple, as a swell wedding gift they will totally use. Your foodie sibling, to outfit her new home. Your spouse, to make meal time even simpler.

What It Costs: MSRP is $369.99

Where It’s At: Visit the Breville website for retailers or to buy direct.

LAST CHANCE to earn a bonus entry into my Quo Cosmetics giveaway – tell me in the comments below, what do you think of this sleek, time-saving, space-saving, money-saving device?
