It Just Makes Scents
You’ve probably heard before that scent is one of the most powerful triggers for our memories. Each of us has certain aromas that immediately channel particular feelings – happiness, sadness, loved, you name it. Memoire Liquide started as an answer to those sensations. They began as a fragrance bar where customers could custom blend their own unique perfume, working with master creators to design an aroma that smelled like their favourite things while also smelling amazing. In fact, over 6,000 unique blends have already been created!
About a decade ago, Memoire Liquide decided to extend their experience to the masses. For those that couldn’t visit one of their fragrance bars, they took a handful of their top scents and packaged them up into a collection of special fragrance products, which are sold all over the world, including at Hudson’s Bay in Canada. Today, I’m going to share a bit about each signature scent, to help you guys figure out which one is perfect for you!
Feeling Romantic? Try Amour Liquide
One cool thing about Memoire Liquide’s line of perfumes is they tend to capture a feeling, as opposed to a direct ‘thing’. Take Amour, which as many of you already know, means ‘love’ in French. Before you keep reading, imagine for a moment, what love smells like to you. For Memoire Liquide, it smells of sweetness – Pure Madagascar Vanilla and Tonka Bean are key middle notes – balanced with a smoky, sensual pairing of Incense and Black Orchid. It’s perfect if you’re buying for an anniversary or shower gift!
Feeling Beachy? Try Vacances Liquide
Drift away to your last white sand holiday in a flash when you spritz on this tropical-inspired perfume. A refreshing blend of Coconut Milk, Oceanic Accords, and Tahitian Vanilla, this breezy scent is finished off with Tiare Flowers, which is actually related to the Gardenia family. Gift it to your snowbird mom for the months when she’s missing her beachside home.
Feeling Exotic? Try Encens Liquide
Those of you that know a bit about perfume probably know that there are a few key fragrance families – typically consisting of floral, woodsy, citrus, and oriental. The latter relates to spicy, exotic fragrances, like Encens Liquide. Designed with enchanting notes of Amber Resin and White Musk, this unique fragrance specifically references Japanese culture with Dry Sake, Hinoki Incense and Black Tea. The name sort of says it all with this one – what does sunshine smell like you ask? Well bright and vibrant of course! Loaded with zesty aromas like Grapefruit, Tangerine, and Blood Orange, this summery perfume is offset by more earthy notes of Neroli Flowers and Sandalwood. Generally speaking, citrus-inspired scents are one of the most universally beloved because they go on lighter. Even your sister that is otherwise not a perfume person won’t be able to resist this dazzling scent.
Feeling Flirty? Try Fleur Liquide
As the snow melts and the sun breaks out more frequently, there’s a bouncy, springy vibe in the air – and that’s very much what this gorgeous perfume captures in a bottle. While it’s loaded with floral notes like Orange Blossom and Night Blooming Jasmine, it’s also got a unique, sparkling vibe to it, thanks to a top note of Fresh Mimosa.
As I mentioned, Memoire Liquide is available in Canada at Hudson’s Bay or you can order from the Memoire Liquide website. Their perfumes retail for $95 for a full-sized bottle, but to really extend the life of it, consider applying their Creme de la Creme product ($24) and waft in a heavenly aroma of your choice all day long!
