The Kiss Off

What It Is: A brand new lineup of lipsticks from the makeup goddesses over at MAKE UP FOR EVER. The new Artist Rouge collection consists of 45 showstopping hues in both matte and cream finishes, with all of your favourites like candy pink and ruby red next to some out there shades like peacock green and mauve violet. I actually got to test out a few of the shades recently and I have to say – holy pigmentation Batman. I was stunned at how even a relatively light hue really popped on my lips. To that end, I’d suggest you try them out in store as you may be surprised at how deep and rich the colour is compared to most brands – if you’re a neutral lip kind of gal, you’ll want to see what’s still in your safe zone.

Also, MAKE UP FOR EVER has also teamed up with Icona Pop (the songstresses behind Girls’ unofficial anthem ‘I Love It’) to be their official makeup artists this year, and as part of the collab, they’ve released two limited edition lipsticks handpicked by the girls as their new signature colors – a dramatic modern teal-blue and a classic cherry red. Pick ’em up while they last to nab the cool signature-scrawled tubes.

Who It’s For: Your bridesmaids, cause the 10-hour staying power means minimal touch-ups all day. Your best friend, as a fun birthday gift. Your makeup artist friend, for some creative hues to add to her collection.

What It Costs: Each tube is $27.

Where It’s At: Buy them online at Sephora.
