Sip Right Up
What It Is: The folks at Bodum describe their Pebos coffeemaker as ‘theatrical’ – and I can’t disagree after watching a brief video on it. Designed for coffee purists who know the importance of keeping coffee oils contained during the brewing process, this unique coffee maker is surprisingly simple to use. Just fill the bottom jug with water and the top part with coffee. Place your lid on it and put on a heating source – the coffee gets sucked up into the top vessel, then when you remove it from heat, it drips down into the bottom one again, making a fresh, flavourful brew in under 15 minutes.
Who It’s For: Your spouse, for a premium morning fix. You coworker, who can’t live without their cuppa. Your parents, for lazy Sunday mornings.
What It Costs: $90.
Where It’s At: You can buy it direct from Bodum, or find it at a range of coffee specialty shops and department stores across Canada.
