Reading Rainbow: 9 Children’s Books For Under $5

I was perusing BookOutlet.com the other day, which offers killer deals on all KINDS of books, but I was particularly struck by their children’s book selections. While kids can tend to obsess over one thing for awhile, I also know encouraging them to read lots is great at a young age.

What’s extra cool is all of these books are classic tales you know and love, brought to life in creative ways by today’s picture book authors. Pick one, pick five, they’re all so affordable you can build a stellar kid’s library in no time!

Note: All prices are in USD, but shipping is actually pretty reasonable to Canada!

9-kids-books-under-5

Ninja Red Riding Hood – $3.49

The Three Billy Goats Gruff – $3.99

The Ugly Duckling – $2.99

Books, as you all know, make a wonderful gift any time of year, but here’s a few ways you could use these lovely little reads as gifts this year:

  • Children’s birthdays
  • Stocking stuffers
  • Donation to your library or a refugee family
  • Party favours
  • Lending library amongst friends
  • Grandkids visits

And more! Shoot me a note in the comments below for a bonus entry into this month’s Fairy Tale Endings giveaway – what kids’ books from this list would you love to gift? To who?
