What It Is: Rimmel London has entered the pro palette game, with three jaw-droppingly beautiful eye shadow collections (called Magnif’Eyes) that can be mixed and matched for a huge range of nude / smokey / contoured eye looks. You might be tempted to draw some comparisons to a certain collection of high end eye shadow palettes in similar colour schemes, but these sets hold their own, with a unique mix of shimmers and mattes in three different shade ranges:
Grunge Glamour – A classic palette for that smokey look, with greys and pewters, along with some high contrast metallics for a modern touch.
London Nudes Calling – Pretty pinks and plums pair nicely together with some dark taupes. Great for a soft, romantic look.
Keep Calm & Wear Gold – I think this one is my favourite; it’s great if you love warm tones like gold, brown, and taupe, and would really set off hazel or brown eyes.
Having tried the palettes out, I can tell you I was seriously impressed by their pigmentation. A little dab of any shade on my brush was more than enough to create a high impact contour. I liked the natural sequence of each palette too, which made it kind of a no brainer to pair together. If you’re up on your beauty lingo I would warn of a bit of fallout – you’ll want to blow excess powder off your brush before applying and for sure, start with an eye primer. All in all those, these are so affordable and a great addition to your beauty stash!
