What a Hoot

OwlCrate

What It Is: For the young(er) reader in your life (or young at heart), OwlCrate is a subscription box service that delivers a hot off the presses YA book, along with a collection of themed items any reader will seriously covet. As you may have guessed, the title of the service is derived from the infamous way of delivering mail in the Harry Potter series, although the themes of each box are quite diverse. From celebrating strong female characters to diving into fun, fantastical books and themes, this is the perfect way to get your favourite young adult reading and sharing their loot with their friends.

Who It’s For: Your niece, to keep her interested in books well past childhood. Your friend, who unabashedly fangirls over YA books. Your child, check out their companion box, OwlCrate Jr.!

What It Costs: $29.99 USD for a single month (expect discounts for advance billing) + about $10 shipping.

Where It’s At: Sign up for OwlCrate here.

BONUS entry into my Brik giveaway – tell me in the comments below, know anyone that would love this box? Have you read much YA fiction (Note: Stuff like The Hunger Games or even Harry Potter totally counts).
