Maki My Day: Cute Sushi Socks For Everyone
What It Is: Funny story about this – I spotted very cute Maki socks while traveling, but didn’t have much luck finding great sources for them in Canada (although you can buy them here and here). However, in searching I stumbled across this other brand called Sushi Socks Box that basically does the same thing – if not in a cuter style. By packaging up your socks in a takeout-style tray and including some fun garnishes, this is a quirky gift idea that has a practical purpose (the socks are purportedly high quality). With a bunch of different styles to choose from, there’s a sushi combo for everyone.
Who It’s For: Your friend that’s studying how to make sushi. Your Japan-obsessed sibling. Your quirky socks-wearing coworker.
What It Costs: Prices start at $15 for two pairs and go up to $118 for 10 pairs. Shipping appears to be $15.

I must say that I found these socks a bit weird. I found myself gravitating to the octopus maroon pair — they reminded me of red blood cells though, not an octopus! Hmmm!
