It’s almost beach season Canada – what are you wearing? Might I suggest a swimsuit from Quebec-based Shan? Founded in 1985, this luxe brand creates highly coveted swimwear, resort wear, lingerie, and high end accessories for both men and women. Carried in renowned retailers like Le Printemps in Paris and Saks Fifth Avenue in NYC, Shan is synonymous with chic.

As part of my extra special focus on Canadian retailers for Canada Day, I’m highlighting a few of my fave items from Shan – all of which can be ordered online for just $12 in shipping costs. Balnea Boucle One-Piece – $285
One of the coolest parts of Shan is the fact all of their prints are generally rendered in other styles. So if you love the bold Canadiana-inspired look of this classic red and white stripe, you can actually get it on a few different mix & match two-pieces, as well as a selection of one-pieces. The same goes for the men’s products too. Love a print? You can get these cool trunks in a range of length and looseness. The sizing is pretty generous, with sizes range from S to XXXL – fashion should be a democracy after all!     Wow! So many great suits! I love Three of a Kind and Maggie May but I think Blue Valentine (http://www.shan.ca/ca_en/women/swimwear/4785-15-navy-one-piece-swimsuit.html) is my favourite. I like that they have so many colour options in both plain and print and that the styles are so versatile!
