What It Is: With the rise of the Fidget Spinner, I was reminded of another fad that swept the nation once upon a time – the Rubik’s Cube. Consisting of six sides, six colours, and nine squares per side, the challenge was to make your cube perfectly matched again. While some people (including Justin Bieber!) are Rubik’s Cube masters, I daresay the Megaminx puzzle might have ’em stumped. We’re talking 12 pentagon-sided faces (with a star pattern on each side). I am no rubik’s master, but a friend of mine loves challenging puzzles.
I was able to solve the cube when it first came out, but I’m not a master, it took me a long time. Now I don’t think I’d have the patience to solve this puzzle.
I am not a Rubik’s master but my dad loves puzzles of all kinds.
I’m not sure I’m up for the challenge but my grandkids certainly would be.
