Hey Smarty: A+ Back-to-School Gifts from Sears
As wonderful as ‘school’s out’ is each year when you’re a kid, there’s something to be said for back-to-school as well. Whether you’re jazzed about fresh school supplies, picking out a first day of school outfit, or simply reconnecting with your friends on a daily basis, come September I think you’d be hard-pressed to find a kid that isn’t at least a little excited about school. To really sweeten the deal, why not throw in a gift that’ll make this year extra special? I’ve scoured the virtual shelves of Sears to highlight a few of my A+ gift ideas for back-to-school – check ’em out below!
Paw Patrol Lunch Bag – $9.97
My niece isĀ obsessed with Paw Patrol, and so it would seem, are many of my friends’ kids as well. If you want your kid to rule the lunchroom, gift ’em with a branded bag to make every mid-day meal a treat.
Graphic Tee ‘Pow’ – $3.97
A new back-to-school wardrobe doesn’t have to cost a fortune, as this hella affordable graphic tee shows. I love the bright blue hue and the superhero-inspired motif; perfect for any boys that indulged in the adventures of Spiderman, Wonder Woman, or the Guardians of the Galaxy this summer.
2 Compartment Collapsible Food Container – $6.97
One of my biggest pet peeves to this day is carrying home bulky reusable lunch containers. I love being eco-friendly, but man is it a pain! This nifty gadget solves the problem – when the kids are done eating they can collapse the container down into a flatter size, leaving plenty of room for homework.
Grey Fleece Sweatshirt – $16.95
If you’re going to splurge on anything this season, make it something she’ll wear and layer again and again. This cuddly star-spangled hoodie works as a lightweight jacket in early fall and will keep her toasty warm as winter sets in.
14″ Econo Backpacks – $14.95 each
As much as they love that character-branded backpack one year, keep in mind that kids (and trends) are fickle. To save your wallet, opt for one of these fun, flashy bags that have all the features and designs your little ones will love – without the hefty price tag.
The Magic Maker Stationery Set – $20
Sears has put together some superrr cool stationery packs for kids of all ages – often with amazing savings attached to them. Case in point? This artistic set of crayons, felt tip markers, pencil crayons, and notebooks would otherwise retail for $50. Check out all the cool sets here – they’re a perfect and practical gift.

Affordable, practical, and guaranteed to get them geared up for learning, you’ll just have to pop into a Sears store yourself to get shopping.
