Séxūal Healing: Michel Germain Parfums Make for a Seriously Sensual Gift

I love featuring Canadian brands on here – particularly when they are companies I’ve never encountered before! Michel Germain Parfums is a legacy Canadian fragrance brand with a really sweet backstory. Michel, inspired by his love for his wife Norma, spent five years crafting the first prestige ‘floriental’ fragrance, called Séxūal. The name isn’t just for show either; the perfume has a secret aphrodisiac ingredient that’s been their ‘secret sauce’ so to speak. Since then – a whole 27 years ago – he’s gone on to expand the line to scents for him and her, all of which are available exclusively in Canada at Hudson’s Bay and on the Michel Germain website. Today I’m highlighting a few of the different products in the Séxūal line to add to your wish lists (or shopping lists) this holiday season!

Sexual Noir 3-Piece Gift Set – $112 ($155 value)
Séxūal Noir for women launched 10 years after the original Séxūal fragrance, and is another seriously gorgeous floriental loaded with fruity touches of lime, mandarin, and strawberries, offset by dramatic and potent florals like pink orchid and jasmine. To give it that slightly musky oriental touch, the heart of the scent contains vetiver, warming vanilla, precious amber and sandalwood. The result is an incredibly complex and intriguing perfume. All scents in the Michel Germain line stem from the original Séxūal fragrance. As you can imagine, the focus is really sensual, dramatic scents, but without being too overpowering. If you want to sample multiple ones for yourself, this awesome rollerball set is the way to go. It includes Séxūal Noir, which I already tackled above, as well as two other Euro-inspired scents in the line; Séxūal Paris and Very Séxūal. The latter has bold notes of clementine and blackcurrant paired with luxe champagne and passionflower, while the latter includes juicy raspberries alongside fragrant florals like gardenia and orange blossom. One thing I do really like about Michel Germain is the fact most of their ‘value set’ products can actually be bought separately, which is actually pretty rare. If you go through one product more quickly than the rest, you can buy that deodorant or body lotion to keep on complimenting your favourite fragrance. They’ve also got some cool pieces that are more affordable – so if you know someone’s favourite perfume, you can easily pick up a supplementary piece at a lower price point. Case in point?
