Gifts For Guys

Many of my girlfriends often gripe that shopping for guys is no fun. While admittedly, this blog does tend to focus on gifts for gals, I actually find shopping for guys really easy. Who else can you gift a bottle of high-end booze to and see tears glisten in their eyes? Anyway here are five great holiday gift ideas for the special lads in your life.

For The Video Game Junkie: Gran Turismo 5 – $60

A full-fledged Gran Turismo video game hasn’t been released since back in the days of PlayStation 2, believe it or not. This racing game has officially launched for PlayStation 3 today, and it’s definitely high on the priority list for the adrenaline chaser. With spectacular graphics, over 1000 luxury cars to buy and modify, and a new gaming engine for more realistic and expansive play, this’ll easily last your gamer through the long winter months ahead.

For The Entertainer: DAVIDsTEA Martini Kit – $50

If the guy your shopping for is the type of person who loves to have friends over for a night of canapes, cocktails, and chestnuts roasting on an open fire, consider giving them this gift set that puts the tea in martini. Featuring all the tools, recipes, and tea blends you’ll need to make several signature cocktails, this unique gift will definitely put a fun twist on your next night in.

For The Grooming Globetrotter: Fruits & Passion Homme Numero 002 & 003 Gift Sets – $45

I love a bath store with a good men’s section. Fruits & Passion has two gift sets that put two of their signature men’s scents front and centre. Numero 002 is a more woodsy scent while Numero 003 has a more fresh marine feel, but both kits contain the grooming essentials – shower gel, after shave, and equ de toilette – in a sleek travel bag. Perfect if the guy on your list is heading abroad for the holidays.

For The Page Turning Padre: Dan Brown’s ‘The Lost Symbol’ Illustrated Edition – $25

I’m not knocking guys’ reading abilities with this one, I swear! I myself own an illustrated edition of one of Dan Brown’s books, and considering the amount of tangible historical places and objects he references, it’s definitely the way to consume his books. The latest Robert Langdon adventure has recently come out with an illustrated version that covers the symbologist’s journey through American history.

For The Music Maestro: Sennheiser Wireless Headphones (RS160) – $300

You may be thinking, wireless headphones, so what? But wireless Sennheiser headphones are not to be shrugged at. With amazingly crisp, clear technology and the fact you can literally stroll around with nary a music gadget on you makes this pricy gift a perfect choice for the extreme music addict in your life.
