I did something crazy this year. I tried out Lent. I’m not religious by any means, but every year I tend to give something up for a month, so this year I decided to take it a bit further and do Lent. Here’s the thing. This year, Lent is 46 days instead of the standard 40. And instead of giving up just one thing, I gave up chips, chocolate, desserts, and anything easily classified as junk food.

It’s a great activity to get the kids to blow off some steam, and the treats are well-proportioned for groups of 3-6 so no one will get a tummy ache from all that sweetness.
