Bunny Hop

I did something crazy this year. I tried out Lent. I’m not religious by any means, but every year I tend to give something up for a month, so this year I decided to take it a bit further and do Lent. Here’s the thing. This year, Lent is 46 days instead of the standard 40. And instead of giving up just one thing, I gave up chips, chocolate, desserts, and anything easily classified as junk food.

Needless to say, I’m hoping the Easter Bunny pays me a visit next weekend. I don’t have kids, nor do I particularly want to HUNT for my chocolate (46 days people!) but if I did, I would absolutely *ahem* gobble up today’s gift suggestion. Cadbury’s Easter Egg hunting kit. For under $20 you get Cadbury Creme Eggs, Mini Eggs, and the best hybrid of them all – Mini Creme Eggs – plus instructions on how to create an awesome egg hunt. Pretty straightforward from there right?

Want to do something different? For the same price, Kinder also has a kit of their own, featuring 4 surprise-filled eggs, a hollow bunny, shocko-bons, softys, and singles – 32 pieces in total that won’t break the bank or your waistline.

Consider picking up one of these cute kits (I’ve seen some generic store-brand ones as well) when you go to visit your nieces and nephews this weekend, or if you’re a grandparent, for a bonus treat beyond what mom and dad already hid. It’s a great activity to get the kids to blow off some steam, and the treats are well-proportioned for groups of 3-6 so no one will get a tummy ache from all that sweetness.

I’ve found these kits at my local grocery stores, but you can also order them online (among many other goodies) at CanadaGrocer.ca.
