If At First You Don’t Succeed…

It was the greatest brain buster of the 1980s, and an iconic image of the games people play to keep their minds at bay. That’s right, I’m talking about the Rubiks Cube, which recently celebrated its 30th birthday. To celebrate the occasion, they’ve released a special wooden edition of the cube, which functions just like a regular one, but without the ability to cheat and move the stickers around. Not that I ever did that or anything.

The cube comes in a fancy schmancy case with its own little stand, making it a great beacon of honour – or frustration – if you choose to put it on display on your desk. I also think it’s a cute idea for a grad gift since it represents all things thinking and silliness at the same time, and would certainly spruce up any ol’ dorm room.

I spotted the Rubiks Cube Wooden Puzzle 30th Edition on Canadian etailer, geek-friendly Efston Science, your portal to all types of nerdtastic gifts, gadgets, and totally legit equipment for all sorts of great pursuits of knowledge. Onwards & upwards my friends, get shopping!
